In regard to portrait sessions only. Weddings require full payment of the total package balance upfront. If you would like family members to be allowed to bring cameras it is simply a matter of putting together a minimum purchase agreement by paying an expected purchase amount upfront to receive online credit after the session or paying for a disk of everything we capture before the session takes place. These options are not available during or after the session date. Our portrait system is designed so that you may see the images before you order. To do this we only ask that you pay the expenses involved with getting the images to the point of viewing. As a result we do not allow cameras to be visible or used during our time with you. We have a limited amount of time to get to know you and produce results that will equal or exceed your expectations. When family members try to pose and shoot groups at the same time we do it hurts our ability to keep things moving. If we turn to get a candid shot to increase the variety of images we provide for you there will be nothing to shoot. There is a long list of reasons why you should not bring a personal camera, especially an SLR to a portrait session. If there is any question as to why we have this policy it is best to refer you to a competitor before booking. At the time the session takes place if an SLR is intended to be used or is being used it is the contracting parties responsibility to make sure all subjects are aware the print prices will double when ordering online and the session fee will be treated as a photo lesson payment not a portrait session retainer fee meaning there will be no refund for any reason. We try hard to only book families who need us to create something special, families who are unable to create these images themselves. If you intend or expect someone will be using a camera other than a photographer representing Tom Sapp Photography please let us know before you book.
